Esteemed scholar Sheik Hamza Yusuf lectures on the revelation of the Quran. The single edition of Quran was learnt by heart and written down during the life of the Prophet (pbuh) and every Ramadan the Quran was checked by the angel Gabriel (Jibreel) (as). Whereas the different editions of the Torah was compiled over 900 years and the different editions of the Bible was compiled 325 AD at the First Council of Nicaea. Today, approximately 9 million people are alive who have memorised every single letter of the Quran and are consequently known as a 'Hafiz.' The oldest known Qurans date back to the first couple of generations after the death of the Prophet (pbuh).
